In this fun and creative one-day workshop, young artists will sculpt and decorate their very own ceramic figures.
Description
Bring your favorite animal to life in clay!
Using simple hand-building techniques, each participant will shape, texture, and paint their unique piece in a single session. After the workshop, the ceramic pieces will be professionally glazed with a clear coat and fired at Zolta Studio, ready to be picked up a few weeks later.
What We’ll Cover
Introduction to clay and hand-building techniques (slab, pinch, and coil)
Choosing your animal design (inspiration provided)
Sculpting, shaping, and adding fine details & textures
Studio team will apply clear glaze after drying and fire the pieces for you
Outcome: Each child takes home a beautiful, fully finished ceramic animal, a one-of-a-kind creation to keep forever.
Good to Know
Age group: 9–14 years
Experience: No prior experience required
Group size: Maximum 6 participants
What to wear: Clothing that can get messy (aprons provided) and closed-toe shoes
Included: All tools and materials
Once your sculpture is complete, we’ll take care of the firing and glazing process.
Bisque fired at 960 °C, then coated with a transparent stoneware glaze and high fired at 1200 °C for a food-safe, waterproof, and durable finish
Your finished piece will be ready for pickup approximately 2–4 weeks after the workshop, allowing time for drying and both firings.
Parental consent is required at booking, and parents are welcome to stay during the session.
