Kiln Firing for External Ceramics
We offer kiln-firing services for external ceramics, but to ensure quality results and kiln safety, we have a few important guidelines.

Firing Eligibility

We only fire ceramics made with our studio clay unless you rent an entire kiln. This helps prevent unexpected reactions that could damage both your work and our kilns.

If you’re using external clay or glaze, a test piece must be fired first before we accept a full batch. Even with kiln rental, you must follow our firing temperatures to ensure safe and successful results.

Firing Timeline
We aim to fire as quickly as possible, but during busy periods, it may take up to 3 weeks (or more) for your ceramics to be ready.

Firing Temperatures
960°C (Bisque firing)
1010°C (Glaze firing – Earthware)
1200°C – 1240°C (Glaze firing – Stoneware)

Firing Prices
Ceramics made in the studio: €6.50 per kilo for each firing – Minimum fee €6.50 per batch)
External ceramics: €12.50 per kilo (Minimum fee: €12.50 per batch)

Kiln Rental – Full Kiln Firing
For those needing complete control over their firing, we offer kiln rentals:
190L Kiln: €260 per firing

Kiln Damage & Responsibility
To maintain the quality of our equipment, we require that all external materials be approved before firing. If untested clay or glaze causes kiln damage, repair costs will apply:

Cleaning a damaged kiln shelf: €25
Replacing a broken kiln shelf:  €100 (based on size)
Internal kiln damage: €300+ (depending on the extent of damage)
To avoid additional fees, always consult with us before bringing in external materials.
