Description

How It Works
You’ll handbuild your vase from start to finish, exploring different techniques to shape, refine, and personalize your design.
In the first session, you’ll shape and build your vase, experimenting with different forms, sizes, and textures to bring your vision to life.

In the second session, after the initial drying process, you’ll have time to refine your piece, add more complexity to the design, or attach additional elements like handles or decorative details

What We’ll Cover
Handbuilding Methods: Introduction to coil, pinch, and slab techniques.
Form and Structure: Focus on creating stable shapes with attention to balance and function.
Surface Refinement: Smoothing, finishing, and preparing surfaces for decoration.

Good to Know

Once your piece is finished, we’ll handle the rest. It will first be bisque-fired at 960°C, then coated with a transparent stoneware glaze, and finally high-fired at 1200°C to ensure a food-safe, waterproof, and durable finish.

Would you prefer to glaze your work yourself?
We offer a dedicated glazing session (highly recommended for beginners), where you can decorate your piece with color and apply the transparent glaze.

Additional ready-made glaze options are also available for purchase at the studio.

Your finished ceramics will be ready for pickup approximately 2–4 weeks after the workshop, following drying and both firings.
