This workshop introduces essential glaze application methods used in ceramic finishing, including brushing, pouring, and dipping techniques. You’ll also learn how to layer glazes to achieve varied surface effects and visual depth.

Description

What We’ll Cover

 

Glazing Fundamentals: Understand glaze behavior and how different application methods influence the final result.

Application Techniques: brushing, pouring, dipping, and layering

 

Good to Know

Participants will work with our transparent stoneware glaze, which is food-safe and compatible with stoneware clay bodies.

 

A selection of additional glaze options will be available for purchase at the studio.

Participants must bring a bisque-fired piece from a previous workshop or open studio session. Greenware or unfired pieces cannot be glazed during this workshop.

Firing is not included. Ceramics made in the studio: €6.50 per kilo
Final pieces after firing will be ready for pickup within 2 weeks after the session.
