A ceramic vessel by Sirin AlMasri with a lidded, rounded form and a richly textured, cratered glaze. The surface features a black-and-white experimental glaze developed by the artist to create both texture and emotional depth, evoking a sense of time and memory preserved in form.

Erosion Memory is a contemplative vessel that holds the imprint of process, surface, and time. Its heavily textured body appears worn and marked, as though shaped by forces beyond the hand.

Description

The thick, cratered glaze transforms the surface into something both tactile and atmospheric. The glaze is not merely decorative but structural, creating a mix of color, texture, depth, and emotion.
The piece is part of the artist’s wider exploration into ceramics as a means of preserving memory. The closed form, crowned with a simple lid, becomes a quiet container of material, of time, of the invisible residue of touch. Erosion Memory invites to read its surface not just visually but physically, as a record of transformation held in clay and fire.
